Khalifa Al Tunaiji hails from the Emirate of Sharjah, specifically the city of Dhaid. He first engaged with the Holy Quran at the age of thirteen at the City Center of Quran, guided by Shaykh Ghulam Hussain. Renowned for his distinctive and powerful voice, he is widely recognized as one of the notable Quran reciters.

Furthering his studies in Medina, Khalifa Al Tunaiji learned from Shaykh Ibrahim Al-Akhdar at the Masjid Anabawi Al’Charif. He also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the United Arab Emirates in 2001. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Department of Housing and is a member of the Executive Board and the Board of Directors of the Holy Quran and Sunnah of Sharjah. Khalifa Tunaiji previously held the position of Director at the Department of Public Works in the Emirates.
